Things get worse before they get better

I found out today that C cut her bangs at the sitter's yesterday. Turns out the sitter had left the scissors on the counter after cutting her own bangs and went to do something else, forgetting about the scissors. C and another girl got ahold of them and "trimmed" their bangs. Sigh.

She p��d her p@nties again last night while watching TV. So we made her wear a diaper for a half-day today. So far, so good (knock on wood!).

I took her to the dentist at 7:45 this morning as an emergency walk-in. Two hours later, we finally get seen. We got a diagnosis, coxsackie type "a" virus, causing multiple sores in her mouth. Among other things, coxsackie causes hand foot and mouth disease. I think she may have developed the mouth part of it and maybe the foot part too, as she was saying her foot hurt. The dentist said there's no cure, but we could relieve the symptoms with a topical benadryl/lidocaine/mylanta solution. Basically, it numbs the sores. I can't wait until it's all over.
