Could a U.S. Senator be my grandfather?

I swear to God my father must be the son of Sen. Ted Stevens of Alaska. My father looks just like the senator. The senator was in the Air Force in his younger days. There was an Air Force Base at Nome during WWII. My father was born in 1946. See where I'm going with this?

I could be wrong, but...

In other news, M is sleeping in a toddler bed now. She wants nothing to do with her crib anymore. Guess we'll dismantle the thing sometime this week.

She and I have doctors' appointments tomorrow. Mine is an eye appointment at 11:30 a.m. and hers is one with the orthopedics dept. about her broken wrist. Since I'll pretty much be trapped in the opthalmologist's chair and not able to keep an eye on my kids (no pun intended), I've asked my sister to come along to keep an eye on M. I've already got permission from the sitter to drop of C early so that my sister doesn't have to watch my two plus her own all at once. C is three children wrapped in one! That way, if I'm not done with my appointment by the time M's appointment rolls around, my sister can take her to the appointment.

At least twice a week, hubby loses his keys. Sometimes for hours, sometimes for a day or two. It drives me nuts! I even bought him one of those keyrings that beeps when you whistle for it but the damn thing beeped whenever any loud noise was made. We ended up throwing it away. Anyone got any ideas to make him stop losing his keys?
