...Heavy Snow Warning Continues...

Snow is falling at a rate of between 1 and 2 inches per hour across much of the Anchorage bowl. Snow amounts increase westward ...With highest accumulations across the central and western parts of town.

Snowfall intensity will begin to diminish by noon...then end toward Sunday evening. Total snowfall from this storm is now expected to range from 1.5 to 2.5 feet.

A warning means a serious threat to life and property is occurring or imminent.

All but absolutely necessary travel should be either postponed or canceled Sunday morning...at least until road surfaces are cleared. If you must travel on the road system...it is recommended that you allow plenty of extra time to get to your destination and use extreme caution.

The next statement is scheduled at 11 am Sunday.

In other words, we got dumped on. That's according to wunderground.com.
